I highly recommend Shelby as a doula. I had contractions, but none were consistent enough for labor. She gave me multiple ways to help my body go into labor. The suggestion that helped me most was prayer. I had already been praying for labor, delivery and healing, but she suggested praying and telling my body to let go, relax, and its ok to go into labor! Literally 4 hours later, I went into labor! She also gave me tea to drink and herbal bath soak for postpartum that were amazing!! So blessed to have had Shelby to turn to!!

My journey into the birth world started when my second daughter, Iva, was stillborn. I had prepared myself for an unmedicated birth but turned away from that at the last minute. Looking back, I wish I would have had someone to support my original plan. I knew other women and mothers needed that support, so I set out to become just that. My hope is to provide an unwavering and loving support in joy and in grief.
I’m a loving wife and mother. I have a desire for biblical truth. I lead worship at my church. I’m a crafty granny at heart, because I love to sew and quilt!
